DAY ONE: Paddle into Paradise
Begin your adventure with a guided kayaking excursion through the waters of Doubtful Sound into the broody waters of Hall Arm. Paddle alongside towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and lush rainforests as you keep an eye out for wildlife.
Overnight at Deep Cove Hostel
After a day on the water, unwind at Deep Cove Hostel, located in the heart of this remote wilderness. The hostel provides a cosy and welcoming place to rest and recharge for the next day’s adventure.
DAY TWO: Explore and Return
Rise early to the sounds of nature and prepare to enjoy another day on the water. Kayak deeper into the fiord, discovering hidden coves and stunning vistas. With your guide’s expertise, you’ll learn about the area while experiencing Doubtful Sound.

Kayaking Tour Summary
Two days and one night in Doubtful Sound. Depart from Te Anau at 7:00am on Day One, includes 3.5 hours kayaking. Stay overnight at Deep Cove Hostel and have a further 3.5 hours kayaking on Day Two. Return to Te Anau at 3:00pm on Day Two

Note: please come prepared for both wet/cold and fine weather as conditions can be changeable. Large tramping packs are not suitable to bring on the tour as storage space is limited, but we can store luggage items for you at our Te Anau office.
